Peter K. Zimmerman

Peter has been involved in Arizona’s political and public policy arena since 1972. A former television journalist, he served as creative director and later, general manager of the Tucson office of regional public affairs firm, WFC Westcom. There he worked with clients such as Arizona Public Service, The Arizona Daily Star, Pima Association of Governments, the City of Tucson and a number of homebuilding and development companies. And, of course, a wide variety of election campaigns.

In 1989 he formed Zimmerman Public Affairs (formerly Zimmerman & Associates), a full-service, award-winning marketing communications firm. The company has built a solid base of clients that turn to it for public affairs consulting, public relations, issue management, advertising, and marketing consulting.

In 2004, the Tucson Advertising Federation recognized him with its Silver Medal Award which honors individuals for their contributions to further the advertising industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

An Upstate New York native, Peter was educated at the State University of New York (SUNY) where he received a bachelor’s degree in 1971.
